Make sure that you don’t have one of the vintage effects on by default in the settings.

The audio sounds pretty good for the most part on Force imo. Thank you for your help! You may want to check your setup. Thank you for your help!how does it sound when you play back on the original tempo (ie don't timestretch)? I'm going to have to return this thing immediately. Please tell me I've missed some silly switch that by default makes the Akai sound like a complete P.O.S. My hope was to transfer my loops to the Akai Force and arrange them from there to play back into my mixer to my master bus record chain. It sounds like I'm running a bit crusher effect.Īm I doing something wrong? I don't see any options to turn off MIDI quantize (like the Boss RC-505 has). at 141 bpm (the record bpm) the Force sounds terrible.

The Force arrived today and of course, I'm running a fair A/B test between my Aeros loops and the Force after loading the exact same loops. I'm using various external MIDI sequencers to record audio tracks to the Aeros Loop Studio. I have a DAWless studio (actually, I do have LogicPro but I never use it) and I decided to try out the Akai Force as an arranger and song composition tool for my recorded loops.
